Santa and Mrs. Claus'
Terms and Conditions of Service

 

(Subject to being periodically updated.)

 

Background investigation(s) on file.

 

In addition to several traditional combinations, we can appear in pool, beach,
or cruise wear, casual or business attire, or formal wear combinations!

 

Definitions
A "visitation" shall be understood as an individual date within an "appearance" agreement.
An "appearance" shall be understood as the total of agreed upon dates and hours of "visitation",
within a thirty day period, for any one client.
The Christmas Season shall be understood as the period of days between November 1 and February 2), inclusive.

 

General Information
All "appearances" and private parties must be booked through Mr. Claus, and confirmed in writing (email is sufficient and completely binding)
Contact Mr.Claus directly for rate quote. Please provide as many known details as you can for the quickest and most accurate quote.
Bookings can be made for Mr. and Mrs. Claus together or individually for a visitation.
All Christmas Season "appearances" shall be considered confirmed and fully non-refundable for total hours agreed to after 12:01 AM on October 1st. Changes to actual dates of "visitation" and locations may be flexible after this date depending upon Mr. and Mrs. Claus' availability to adjust their schedule.
Non-Christmas Season "appearances" shall be considered confirmed and fully non-refundable for total hours agreed to after 12:01 AM 14 days before the earliest date of "visitation". Changes to actual dates of "visitation" and locations may be flexible after this date depending upon Mr. and Mrs. Claus' availability to adjust their schedule.

 

Cancellation Information
PLEASE NOTE: a "visitation" has never been cancelled.
Only once has one been rescheduled - due to foul weather
It is of primary importance to Mr. and Mrs. Claus
that no child be or remain disappointed!
Mr. and Mrs. Claus may cancel, at their sole discretion, any date of "visitation" due to foul weather or illness.
Full payment remains due for the confirmed hours of dates of "visitation" cancelled by the client,
which are not rescheduled by client.
For hours cancelled due to foul weather or illness, which cannot be rescheduled,
the 50% non-refundable retainer will serve as payment in full
100% full refund will be issued for any cancellations due to scheduling conflicts caused by Mr. Claus.
It is preferred that all cancelled dates of "visitation",
for any reason, be rescheduled in full as soon as mutually convenient.

 

Special Conditions
There cannot be any smoke  any where near Mr. and Mrs. Claus. This is for medical reasons and is non-negotiable.
A pair of appropriate, weight appropriate, sturdy, four legged chairs with arms, shall be provided
for Mr. and Mrs. Claus to conduct any seated "visitation" with children.
Mr. and Mrs. Claus will supply their own costumes.
Amateur photography is always allowed.
Professional photography will be disclosed and negotiated as part of the agreement of "appearance".
Before sitting on Santa or Mrs. Claus, Children / Babies wearing diapers will be clean and dry

 

Out of Area "Appearances"
Client pays all customary and usual fees and tips.
It is understood that the normal area for our "appearances" is within 50 miles one-way of Central Ohio 43148
Full-size car rental from a nation-wide rental company shall apply to self-driven locations beyond our normal area
and be delivered and picked up.
IRS Mileage rates shall also apply to self-driven locations beyond our normal area.
Client provides for any necessary taxi or shuttle service.
Any flight or train transportation beyond our normal area shall be ticketed first class, and be door to door.
Any hotel suite required beyond our normal area shall provide: microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, iron, and continental breakfast. (e.g.: Microtel Suite or better)
Three star restaurant dinners shall be provided each day for both Mr. and Mrs. Claus, while beyond our normal area. Client shall provide breakfast also, if the hotel does not.

 

Payment Information
Private Parties are quoted flat rate and generally last less than one hour and consist of ten or fewer children.
A 50% non-refundable retainer is required, at the time of booking.
Final payment shall be received immediately after services are rendered.
Payment methods, in US Dollars: cash, check or Postal Money Order

 

 

The Following Is A List Of Things For You To Be Ready For Santa's and/or Mrs. Claus Visit

 

 
No Smoking can be anywhere near Santa and Mrs. Claus!

 


 (1) Be sure that camera batteries are charged and cameras have film or videotape /DVDs/CD/memory cards ready before the visit.

 (2) Be sure Santa has a parking spot as near as possible to where his appearance will be. Remember that his suit is heavy and warm so if possible a small fan moving air around him would be great and be sure he is not too near a lit fireplace where it tends to be very warm.

 (3) Please be sure there is a sturdy place for Santa to sit for pictures. Low chairs, soft chairs or folding chairs are not very good for Santa. A solidly built chair with a sturdy back is ideal for Santa to be comfortable and be able to use both knees.

 (4) Be sure the chair is in a good spot for taking the photos or videos and bring the Holiday feeling to the photos. Perhaps near the tree but with room around the chair for people to stand. Any personal cards or children's drawings etc. add a personality to the photos.

 (5) Be sure everyone is ready for Santa's arrival. Sometimes Santa is only available for a certain time frame and valuable picture time may be lost if you are not prepared. Santa can call ahead so everyone is ready for him. Be sure someone is outside to greet Santa and help him with filling his bag etc.

 (6) Have someone who knows the children co-ordinate their visit with Santa so everyone has time to enjoy their visit with Santa. Santa is able to carry in 1 bag of gifts that should be well labeled to who they belong. Write directly on presents so there are no tags to fall off. Once Santa arrives and attention is on him, someone can place other presents near his chair to hand out.

 (7) Santa can pose in different ways. For example, he can stand with someone who does not want to sit on his lap or a hug for parents and grandparents make for a nice photo. Santa can slowly work with shy children but be aware that some children can be extremely shy or frightened. Rest assured that Santa will try to get you a nice picture.

 (8) If there is a payment due Santa just put it in a card and tell Santa that it is a card from everyone. It is never appropriate for Santa to take cash in front of anyone.

 (9) Remember that Santa is there to make your Holiday visit memorable. If there is anything special you wish them to do just ask and if at all possible we will try to help with your needs.

 (10) Santa reserves the right to refuse doing anything he deems inappropriate to the Santa persona.



  PLEASE NOTE: SANTA WILL DO EVERYTHING THEY POSSIBLY CAN TO VISIT YOUR HOME OR PARTY BUT RESERVE THE RIGHT TO CANCEL AND TRY TO RESCHEDULE THE VISIT DUE TO POOR WEATHER CONDITIONS OR OTHER UNFORSEEABLE CIRCUMSTANCES.
